Linzer sweet with Mama’s Cream

Super delicious linzer sweets, glued with vanilla Mama’s Cream, which Harry prepared for Easter. They are ideal for any time of the year because they are incredibly soft, fragrant and temptingly delicious. Follow the recipe and enjoy the taste!

🛒Required products:

🔸1 large egg

🔸100g soft butter

🔸100g sugar (I used unrefined cane sugar)

🔸250g flour (in this case 100g einkorn flour and 150g white flour – this is the reason my sweets are a little darker).

🔸1 tsp baking powder

🔸2 vanilla

🔸200g vanilla cream Mama’s

They receive 20-25 glued cakes, the number of which depends on their size and thickness.

👩🏻‍🍳Method of preparation:

🔸 Beat the soft butter together with the sugar until white. The oil should be soft, not liquid. An egg is added to them, not stopping to break.

🔸 Sift flour and mix with baking powder and vanilla.

🔸 The flour is added gradually to the mixture, beating all the time. In this case I use a mixer and finally knead the dough by hand. A soft non-sticky dough is obtained, which is left to “rest” for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

🔸 The cooled dough is rolled out between two sheets of baking paper and cut into a selected shape, with half of the cakes cut in a smaller medium to make a window. (I used a water bottle cap).

🔸 Arrange the cookies on baking paper and bake for 10-13 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 degrees.

!!! Baking time depends on the size and thickness of the biscuits, but also on the oven… some ovens heat up faster than others or bake harder. It is important to watch the biscuits.

🔸 After the biscuits are baked and cooled, those of them with the window are sprinkled with powdered sugar (optional), and the remaining biscuits are smeared with vanilla cream and glued to each other.

🔸 It is good to leave the glued biscuits a few hours before eating so that they can become soft.
